12th International Folklor Festival “OHRID PEARL”

Dear friends, 

it is our pleasure to inform you that our Folklore Dance & Singing Group “Makedonka” from Ohrid, Republic of N. Macedonia is organizer of  International Festivals held in the most beautiful town of Ohrid, as follows:

            The International Festivals are organized to join together the different cultures, through music and dance, and colorful costumes. Besides from enjoying in collection of cultures, participants will have the opportunity to express themselves as well to learn from the others, and to have unforgettable friendships.   

           Besides that, participants will have the opportunity to enjoying the beauty of Ohrid, called Town of Pearls or Center of Christianity, protected by UNESCO together with Ohrid Lake.

CONDITIONS OF THE FESTIVAL:

– Choir, Orchestras, Folklore and Modern Dance groups from all over the worl

– The number of participants is not limited.

– No age limits.

– Gifts and Diplomas for participation in the festival are provided by the organizer.

– Organization of the performances of the participants and the parade. 

OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTICIPANTS:

1. Each group must consist of dancers, musicians, group managers, and administration.
   2. To prepare a program with a duration from 10 to 15 minutes.
   3. You can perform with live music  CD or USB and you should have a flag and a sign with the name of the group for the Defile.
   4. The groups coming by bus should use their own transport all the time during the festival.
   5. Groups should submit rooming lists not later than one month before the start of the festival

• It is recommended that groups should bring about 12 – 15 small gifts for exchange.
• In order to participate in this festival, every group needs to fill in an application form. When applying, if possible, please provide some photos, videos or brief history of the group. These materials will be used for promotional and advertising purposes (in advertisements, fliers and posters).
• After receiving the application form and completion of advance payment, the organizer will send an official letter of invitation for participation at the Festival.
• The rest of the payment should be completed immediately after the group arrives in order to take part at the festival.

festival organizer provides

• Accommodation in hotels and apartments, according to the price selected
• 2 double rooms per group with no supplement to be paid (one for the leaders of the group and another for the drivers of the bus). The rest of the rooms are with 3 and 4 beds.
• Free parking for the bus (away from the center of the town)
• Tourist guides for sightseeing of the town (on request only)
• Advertising of the festival (press conference, radio, TV channels, posters and flyers)
• Professional stage where concert performances take place, size: 10×8 meters
• Professional sound equipment: (2 bass speakers, 4 satellite speakers, 2 monitor speakers…)
• For the groups arriving by plane we will organize transfer from the Ohrid airport to the hotel free of charge

For a group of 25 people, you will have 1 free-gratis.

Groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.

10% guarantee will be paid directly at the hotel where the group will be accommodated.

Important! Tax and insurance for staying in Macedonia (coin of 0.70 cents per person per day) are calculated in the price of accommodation and are not paid upon arrival.
