Organized by Folklore Dance & Singing Group “Makedonka” – Ohrid
Dear friends,
It is our great pleasure to inform you that the Folklore Dance & Singing Group “Makedonka” from Ohrid, Republic of North Macedonia is the organizer of several International Folk Dance and Music Festivals held in the beautiful town of Ohrid.
These festivals are organized to bring together different cultures through music, dance, and colorful costumes. Participants will not only enjoy a vibrant collection of cultures but will also have the opportunity to express themselves, learn from others, and build lasting friendships.
In addition to the cultural exchange, participants will experience the beauty of Ohrid, often called the “Town of Pearls” and known as the Center of Christianity, protected by UNESCO together with Lake Ohrid.

Open to choirs, orchestras, folklore and modern dance groups from all over the world
No limit on the number of participants
No age restrictions
Diplomas and gifts provided by the organizer for all participating groups
Organization of performances and parade included
Each group must consist of dancers, musicians, group managers, and administrators.
Prepare a program lasting 10–15 minutes.
Performances can be with live music, CD, or USB. Each group should bring its national flag and a sign with the group’s name for the parade.
Groups arriving by bus must use their own transportation throughout the festival.
Groups must submit rooming lists at least one month before the festival.
It is recommended to bring 12–15 small gifts for exchange with other groups.
Each group must complete an application form. When applying, please include photos, videos, or a short group history for promotional use.
After receiving the application form and advance payment, the organizer will send an official invitation letter.
The remaining payment is to be completed immediately after arrival at the festival.

Two double rooms per group (for leaders and drivers) included without extra charge
Remaining rooms are triple or quadruple
Free bus parking (outside city center)
Tourist guides available on request
Publicity and promotion through local press, radio, TV, posters, and flyers
Professional stage (10×8 meters)
Professional sound equipment (2 bass speakers, 4 satellite speakers, 2 monitor speakers, etc.)
For groups arriving by plane: free transfer from Ohrid Airport to hotel
1 free place for every 25 participants
